Solution : Download and run this Windows Hotfix for Event ID: 8194 The client-side extension could not remove user policy settings for 'Domain Name {GUID}' because it failed with error code '0x8007000d The data is invalid.' See trace file for more details.

If you want to solve this issue manually then delete the XML file that can be found at the following location:
C:usersAll UsersMicrosoftGroup PolicyHistoryPreferences
Update the Group Policy preferences again. To do this, type the following command at a command prompt, and then press ENTER:

gpupdate /force ;
