1. Stop Window Update
To stop the window update
- Search for services and open it. (Or open Run->services.msc -> press enter)
- Now, search for Window update service.
- Right-click the Window update and click Stop.
2. Clean Windows Update DataStore/cache folder
- Press Window Key + R.
- In the window paste %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore and Click Ok.
- This will lead you to the cache folder.
- Open the folder and delete all content.
3. Start window update
After stopping and clearing the cache it’s time to again start the window update.
- Search for services and open it.
- Now, move to window update.
- Right click it and click on start.
