You can configure ActiveX control, Silverlight, and Java through Internet Options or through Internet Explorer(IE11), but you cannot configure it through Microsoft Edge. Edge does not support such Browser help objects.
Click the Windows Start button, then type “Internet options” (as shown below)
- Click Internet Options, then click “Security” tab
- Select “Internet” from the listed zones
- Then click “Custom level”
- Scroll down to “ActiveX controls and plug-ins”
- Enable “Run ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins”
- Enable “Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting”
Click “OK” to save the settings.
How to disable ActiveX Filtering?
- Open internet explorer -> Click Settings Gear (or press Alt + X) -> Select Safety
- Then remove tick mark from “ActiveX Filtering” Options.
