HG8245Q Modem can be configured by accessing this URL https://192.168.100.1 in your browser, this is the default IP address to access STC Modem router’s management console.
Enter username as : telecomadmin
Enter Password as : admintelecom
Now you will be logged into the modem, here you can configure or change these settings mentioned below.
- Change WIFI Name
- Change Wifi password
- Disable SSID broadcast / Hide WIFI Name
- Change default admin password
- Enable or disable MAC address filter
- View log
- Configure ADSL connection settings (do not change this settings, if you dont know what you are doing)
- Enable or disable DHCP
- Backup Modem configuration
- Restore/import modem configuration
- Reset Modem to factory settings (Advanced users only)
How to reset Huawei HG8245Q ?
Before proceeding for modem reset, make sure you have a configuration backup or otherwise you must know how to recofigure it .
Press and hold the modem reset button for 15 seconds (located in the side of the modem). Then the power indicator starts to flicker, that means the modem is resetting. Wait for 5 / 10 minutes to complete the reset process. After that login to the console through https://192.168.100.1 as mentioned above.
