If Screen of Your iPhone is Frozen or Gone Black

  • Press the Volume Up Button and quickly release it.
  • Press the Volume Down Button and quickly release it.
  • Then, Press and Hold the side button until screen turns back on and you see Apple logo.

If it doesn’t work, leave your frozen iPhone on charging for up to an hour. If still, the problem persists, then contact Apple Support.

How to Force Restart Frozen iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus

  • Press and hold together the Volume Down button and main sleep/wake button of your iPhone 7. Hold it there unless you see the Apple logo on the screen.

  • Hold the buttons there until a Recovery mode appears on your Mobile Screen.
  • Here, you will get two options, either restore or Update your Frozen iPhone. Click on Update.

By following these steps, your computer will easily download/update the iOS software on your iPhone. Keep in mind that, if it takes more than 15-20 minutes, then your iPhone will leave the recovery mode. So, again follow the steps mentioned in this section.
