Problem - User ran bitlocker on an external drive got tired of waiting and ended the process at 11%. Drive is not acceable.  Accessing the drive prompts for the password to unlock the drive. Passwords is entered. Error received "BitLocker Drive Encryption failed to recover from an abruptly terminated conversion." Ran repair-bde on the drive decrypting to another drive and the process stops at 11%.

1st answer -David Vinod replied on Forum Moderator Community Star Hi,Thanks for asking. Sorry to hear that you’re unable to access the hard drive after trying to encrypt the drive using Bitlocker.  Step 1:Start the computer in clean boot and then try to run the BitLocker Repair Tool and check if that helps. To configure your computer to clean boot refer the following link. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 in the article to boot to normal startup. Step 2:Perform the steps from the following article to run the BitLocker Repair Tool. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee523219(v=ws.10).aspx If the issue persists then, reply to the post with the results and we will be happy to assist you.
