In Microsoft Teams most of the channels are standard ones, where all team members can see or participate in the chat.
How Private Channel works in MS Teams ?
Simply said, Private channel is focused private group within a team, where only owner & selected members of a team will have access to. They can do collaborative work with the members of that channel.
How to create Private Channel in Microsoft Teams ?
STEP 1 : Go to team where to want to create a channel for and then Click Add Channel.
STEP 2 : New Window for creating channel will appear, name your channel and then have two options for Privacy to choose
- Standard channel
- Private channel
STEP 3 : Click on Private channel it is only accessible by specific group of people within the team
STEP 3 : Private channel is now created, people you’ve added will see it appear in their channel list with a padlock next to the name, it is only accessible to the student and whoever’s part of that channel.
